I was never fond of tofu, I think because I could never cook it properly. Earlier this year I went to Myanmar and Thailand and there I could taste the real stuff. Then I was sure that tofu was good, the problem was me… This is a smoked tofu, meaning that this tofu is a firm and perfect to grate. With the right spices it resembles the texture and taste of shredded chicken, so it’s also good to eat in a sandwich or pita as a kebab.
Smoked Tofu with Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 60 g grated Smoked Tofu
- 3 finely sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 sliced red or white onion
- 1/2 tsp Paprika powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp thyme (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Step 1 In a pan, saute the onion with the oil and paprika until gold and translucent.
- Step 2 Add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper (and more spices you want).
- Step 3 Mix the grated tofu and cook for a couple of minutes.
